Hi, I’m Hammad.
I’m a product designer who works on both sides of the handoff: I research and design the experience, then build the interface that ships.
I studied computer science, so I’m as comfortable in code as I am in design.As the founding product designer at PakPlug, a charging startup , I learned to ship with a small team.Usability tests still change my mind.
I work agent-first, with Claude Code and Cursor wired to Figma over MCP. The model writes the code; I give it the context and the design tokens to work within, and I review what ships.
Right now I’m doing an M.S. in UX design at Purdue and researching how people build with AI.
In the room
I run the research myself, from interviews to usability tests . I led a seven-person studio team on agent-first intake with Microsoft and presented our paper, AI as a Mind Partner, at AIME-Con . These days I also teach Design Thinking at Purdue and build at hackathons like FigBuild .
Built for people isn’t the same as built around them.
I came to design from computer science, and the biggest thing I learned there is that it doesn’t matter how impressive the technology is if the people using it can’t make sense of it. Too often they’re left to figure it out alone, frustrated by a product that was made for them but not around them. That’s what drives me: making things for people, with them, and around them. And as more of what we use runs on AI, and real human connection gets rarer, I think that matters even more.
